Merchant1 Solutions was founded with one simple belief: local business owners deserve better than what the big national processors offer. The RGV and South Texas border region has thousands of small businesses — auto shops, feed stores, junkyards, bail bond agencies, restaurants, and retail shops — that are either paying too much to accept cards or can't get approved at all.
We started by building real banking relationships that serve the businesses others reject — high risk industries, cash-heavy operations, small rural businesses in underserved markets. Then we built the tools to serve them right: transparent pricing, cash discount programs, wireless terminals, and a rep who actually answers the phone.
The company is headquartered in Edinburg and focuses heavily on the US-83 and I-35 corridors — from the Rio Grande Valley up through Laredo, Eagle Pass, and into Central Texas. We know these markets because we live and work here.
